Tulip blocks with watercolor Inktense.
Finished size 16" by 43". I found these antique applique tulip blocks and decided to experiment with Inktense watercolors. I applied different greens in the white space between the embroidery stitches on the leaves and spritzed with water to enhance the blending. Using my scraps of florals I sewed borders and used a setting so that I can hang on my front door in the Spring.
